Debra L. Hauser Physical Therapist
|
I am Deb Hauser, a physical therapist with the Lenawee
County School District in Southeastern Michigan.
I am licensed to practice in Colorado and Michigan.
I live on a 7-acre farm with my husband,
son and 3 stepdaughters, in Saline MI.
We are enjoying the process of establishing and
maintaining RIDE4FUN, Inc.,
a non-profit therapeutic riding program.
I have been actively involved with NARHA
since my introduction at the National conference in 1994.
Horses have been an integral part of my life ever since
I could walk.
My horse Leo Thunderbolt (Chief) and I spent many long
hours in conversation about the important things in life
beginning with our show days in 4-H to my recent marriage.
I have served on two therapeutic riding program boards
over the last 10 years,
as well as co-chair for the State of Michigan for 4 years.
I am excited to be a part of the NARHA Regional Representative
Council, since Jan 2004.
It is exciting to be a part of a NARHA,
an organization that continues to evolve.
I am a registered riding instructor and registered therapist
through NARHA
(North American Riding for the Handicapped Association),
as well as an AHA (American Hippotherapy Association) member.

Jessica Moore Therapeutic Riding Instructor
|
Hi there!
My name is Jessica Moore and I recently joined
the Ride4Fun crew as a therapeutic riding instructor.
My entire life, I have had an immense love for animals- horses in particular.
I graduated from the Lee Honors College at Western Michigan University
with a degree in geriatric psychology,
and could not wait to get out in the world and use my degree.
However, after 5 years and 2 careers,
I still did not feel as though I was doing what I was meant to do.
I knew there had to be some way to combine
my love for animals with my desire to help people,
and still earn a living.
Thankfully for me, I soon discovered the world of therapeutic horseback riding.
What began as a simple volunteer opportunity quickly evolved into a career dream.
This past summer, I completed the certification process
and became a NARHA registered instructor and have not looked back since.
Finally, I found a way to spend time with the animals I love
and simultaneously introduce so many wonderful individuals to their healing powers.
There are not many people who can honestly say they love their jobs.
I am one of the lucky ones!
Outside of working and playing here at Ride4Fun,
I also teach part time at Therapeutic Riding Inc. in Ann Arbor and Banbury Cross in Oxford.
I am also the Equine & Safety Director for Camp Casey,
a non-proft mobile horse camp for children with cancer.
In my 'spare' time, I enjoy spending time with my husband,
Jon and our 2 horses, 2 cats, 2 goats and one wonderful dog at our home in Holly.
I am so happy to be a part of the Ride4Fun family
and look forward to much continued growth here in the coming years!
